The TrackStar D-Spec Hybrid Spring Set is designed to fit two short springs in one shock instead of using one full length spring. Four aluminum spring sleeves are included in the set to seperate two short springs for each of the shocks. Why use Hybrid Springs? Hybrid Springs are specially designed for Drift applications. Drift is all about body roll, softer springs will give you more body roll, so we will get more traction and the car will be less easy to spin out in the corner. However, softer springs have a side effect - we cannot maintain the ride height unless we increase the pre-load of the spring, that will make the spring harder. By using the TrackStar D-Spec Hybrid Spring Set the above problem will not appear again, because there is an extra spring to compensate the pre-load. So the desired ride height can be maintained while the spring can keep the original stiffness. The TrackStar D-Spec Hybrid Spring Set can also enhance the initial body roll action, helping the drifter to achieve a high speed, long distance drift more smoothly and easily.
