Tamiya welcomes back a popular classic not seen since 1981!

Ford trucks are among the most popular vehicles in the United States! Among those are the F-150 series. Tamiya now brings back one of its classic Ford truck releases in the form of the iconic FORD F-150 Ranger XLT with various updates.

About the FORD F-150 XLT
The Ford F-150 Ranger XLT was originally released as a 1/10 R/C kit in 1981. The 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger was released as the first model of the seventh-generation model of the F series, and it featured angular design cues and robust ladder frame. The truck prioritized both lightweight and durable design. The Ranger grade is positioned as the advanced specification and has extensive outside features such as 2-tone paint and chrome trim. As an option to the truck, Free Wheeling Package added unique characteristics such as stripes and special color scheme.

The re-release inherits the existing body of the original, but features newly molded side mirrors, wipers, headlights (separately sold LED lights can be attached.), front section including front grille and bumper guards, plus front stealth body mount (eliminated front body mount holes) for a more realistic look.

• Cab-side triangle windows are added.

• Includes 540-Type motor and ESC.
• Required to complete: 2-channel radio, steering servo, 7.2-7.4volt battery with compatible charger and Tamiya TS paints.

Shorty Packs available by various battery manufacturers in the hobby industry offer “Shorty Pack” batteries that will fit in the chassis compartment. NOTE: The foam block included with the kit will need to be modified or changed to accommodate the “shorty pack”. Additionally, you will need to change the plugs on the included ESC to be compatible with “shorty pack” bullet connectors.
